1. Controller and scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the Mihrap mobile application, widget and Live Activity surfaces, rewarded access, privacy pages, support pages, and related web pages operated by Coplace AI. It explains what data may be processed, why it is processed, which providers may be involved, and how users can exercise their rights.
- Controller / operator: Coplace AI
- Support contact: support@coplace.ai
- Privacy contact: privacy@coplace.ai
- Legal contact: legal@coplace.ai
2. Data categories we may process
- App preferences and local usage data such as selected language, city preset, notification settings, sound profile, widget choices, Quran reading progress, bookmarks, and dhikr counters.
- Location data, if you enable location access, including latitude, longitude, and approximate accuracy used to update prayer times, qibla direction, and nearby mosque results.
- Device sensor data, such as compass, magnetometer, and motion signals, used to improve qibla direction and orientation guidance.
- Notification and reminder state, including permission state, local reminder schedule, and delivery diagnostics.
- Third-party request metadata generated when the app requests weather data, Quran content, map/place results, live stream playback, or ad inventory.
- Support and compliance data if you contact us by email, including the content you send, device details you choose to include, screenshots, and troubleshooting context.
3. Permissions and device access
- Location permission to calculate local prayer times, support qibla, and optionally show nearby mosques.
- Motion and sensor access to improve qibla calibration and orientation stability.
- Notification permission to deliver prayer reminders, adhan alerts, and time-sensitive reminders where supported.
- App Tracking Transparency permission on iOS, where relevant, before enabling tracking-related advertising flows.
You may deny these permissions, although some features will then be reduced, switched to fallback mode, or disabled.
4. Why we process data
- To provide the core app experience, including prayer times, qibla, Quran reading, widgets, and reminders.
- To remember your in-app preferences and continue your reading or ritual flow across sessions on the same device.
- To provide optional content or external surfaces such as Kaaba live stream playback, weather-backed context, and nearby mosques.
- To support advertising, ad frequency controls, user-initiated rewarded surfaces, and limited campaign measurement where relevant.
- To investigate bugs, respond to support requests, improve reliability, and maintain security.
- To comply with legal requests, lawful obligations, and basic record-retention requirements.
5. Service providers and disclosures
We do not sell personal data. However, certain providers may receive request data where necessary to provide app features or infrastructure.
- Apple and Google for app distribution, purchase handling, device platform services, and permission frameworks.
- Google AdMob for ad serving and related ad measurement, and Google UMP for consent messages and ad privacy choices where required.
- Google Places / Google Maps for nearby mosque lookup and route handoff when that feature is used.
- Open-Meteo for weather-backed context where weather surfaces are shown.
- Quran.com and verses.quran.com for Quran text, translation, and recitation related requests.
- YouTube or YouTube-nocookie for embedded or browser-based Kaaba live stream playback.
- Firebase services only if enabled in the build configuration for messaging, analytics, or related infrastructure.
6. Advertising, tracking, and ATT on iOS
Mihrap may include banner, native, interstitial, and user-initiated rewarded ads. Rewarded ads are intended to be voluntary, and interstitial placements are intended to appear at natural transition points rather than forcing themselves into devotional moments.
- On iOS, where tracking authorization is relevant, the app can request permission using Appleās App Tracking Transparency framework before personalized ad tracking is used.
- If permission is denied or unavailable, the app may fall back to non-personalized ad requests or reduced ad measurement depending on platform and SDK behavior.
- Users can change tracking and ad personalization settings later in device settings where supported. Where a Google UMP privacy options form is required or available, Mihrap provides an in-app Ad privacy choices entry point. ATT permission on iOS is separate from EEA/UK consent requirements and does not replace UMP or a Google-certified CMP flow.
7. Ad privacy choices and consent
For the EEA, UK, and other regions where consent is required, Mihrap uses Google UMP or a Google-certified consent flow to request and update advertising consent before requesting ads when required. The app also exposes an Ad privacy choices entry point from Settings so users can review consent choices where the SDK reports that the form is required or available.
- Rewarded ads are voluntary and limited to in-app rewards such as Quran audio or offline audio passes.
- Rewarded ads do not unlock cash, donations, third-party fundraising, or transferable benefits.
- Declining tracking or ad personalization does not block core prayer times, Quran reading, qibla, dhikr, reminders, or settings.
8. Retention and deletion
Local app preferences and reading progress may remain on your device until you remove the app, clear app data, or reset relevant in-app settings. Support emails or compliance requests may be retained for a reasonable period necessary to resolve the request, maintain security, or comply with law.
- If no app account exists, uninstalling the app or clearing device app data is usually the primary way to remove local data.
- If support or privacy records exist on our side because you contacted us, you may request deletion by emailing privacy@coplace.ai.
- We may retain limited records where required for fraud prevention, security, tax, legal defense, or similar lawful purposes.
9. Your rights
- You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we control.
- You may withdraw consent where processing depends on consent, subject to platform limits and lawful bases already relied upon.
- You may object to certain processing or request restriction where applicable law provides that right.
- You may contact us using the addresses on this page if you have a complaint or need a privacy response.
10. Children and minors
Mihrap is not intentionally designed to profile children for advertising. Minors should use the app with the involvement of a parent or guardian where appropriate.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when app features, providers, store requirements, or legal obligations change. Material updates will be reflected by revising the date at the top of this page.
